Can someone explain the appeal of Vue over React?

potta_coffee Sep 18, 2019 View on HN

I heartily recommend Vue. Similar in principle to React, but but fewer things to remember. Still have to pass props etc but I'm not a front-end developer, more of a generalist and I find myself being very productive using Vue.

How did you enjoy Vue vs React?

What did you dislike about React? What does Vue do better?

robodale May 3, 2019 View on HN

I don’t see the point to bother with react, when I’ve been able to do so much with vue.js

Can someone explain why someone would choose Vue over React (or one of the clones)? When I looked at the docs for Vue it reminded me of my Backbone days.

I use Vue (and had use React for a while) and Vue is much more intuitive to me.

Vue is less complex, easy api, and easier to jump into. React is more complex, bigger learning curve, but more featured. Vue has satisfied my needs for 99% of projects.

Why do you prefer Vue over React? Just want to hear opinions on it

I feel Vue is simpler and faster as far as programming is concerned as compared with React.
