Yes, ventilation here is more like a fan in a room window than a sealed box and tubes.

pooplic Jul 13, 2018 View on HN

Are you going to add some sort of ventilation?

danuker Jan 31, 2023 View on HN

Other than the fan pumping hot air in one focused direction?

adrianN Apr 7, 2023 View on HN

You might want to look into installing heat-exchanging ventilation.

skuhn May 6, 2015 View on HN

You're right, it is entirely about airflow.

Qantourisc Jul 17, 2013 View on HN

You just need a bigger fan. Downside would be noise of the fan and wind of a constant mini-hurricane :)

userbinator Jun 9, 2018 View on HN

There is usually a vent somewhere else.

iamwil Mar 27, 2008 View on HN

I don't get how it's suppose to catch any wind. I don't see fans or wings of any sort. is it inbetween the floors?

laggyluke Jun 7, 2018 View on HN

I doubt they're going to use fans if they are pumping the air out of the thing.

rusticpenn Jul 9, 2019 View on HN

The exhaust for ACs are generally outside the room, so there is an airflow..
