Sometimes deficiencies in other parts of your diet can reduce Vitamin D uptake, i remember reading somewhere. something to consider
Vitamin D via sun, meats, or supplementation is likely beneficial even if you don't "feel" any difference. But also, most pro-vitamin-D sources suggest 2000IU or more per day -- sometimes much more, though traditionally there was thought to be toxicity risks at very high doses.
Can't they just tale vitamin D supplements? Why extra exposure?
Maybe your problem doesn't depend on Vitamin D. Have you tried contacting a doctor?
Based on what I've seen I'm not convinced vitamin D is responsible for all of the benefits that get attributed to it. It is very hard to separate the impact of getting vitamin D from the sun from other effects like exercise and spending time in nature. If you're worried about vitamin D levels and can do it, I'd suggest small lifestyle changes like taking a 10 minute walk outside after meals before supplementing. Having said that, I do currently also supplement vitamin D since
Not by me. I'm D-deficient, had gastric sleeve surgery, surprisingly it's the only deficiency I have regularly. I often forget my D... but been taking it religiously and asked my doctor if it's okay to add an extra 5000 iu per week, and he said it was fine and a good idea because of how low I normally run.I've got a new formulation coming soon though that has vitamin k mixed in w/ 5000 ius, and a separate calcium/magnesium pill to make sure my bones stay strong.
just eat good food. plan your meals to have daily intake filled. overdosing vit D can be really really bad.
so vitamin d through the sun is not the same or what?
Evidence that multivitamin d is useful?
Read these articles, maybe it gives some insight. The idea that you need high doses of vitamin D might not be as scientifically sound as you’d thinkhttps://www.devaboone.com/post/vitamin-d-part-1-back-to-basi...https://www.devaboone.com/p
