I opted for a Xiaomi laptop. Best purchase I ever made. Amazing build quality, out of the box compatibility with Linux, great hardware specs. I can't believe that near MBP clone only set me back 550€.
Any of the ASUS ZenBook laptops. THey are reasonibly priced and good if you don't need a tun of CPU power.
The XPS13 may fit what you're looking for, if you want a PC. Amazing screen (touchscreen even). Solid, great build. Not hot and heavy. They even have a special one built for linux.

Depending on your use case would also consider a Chromebook. Purchased son an Acer 14 and love this laptop and want one for myself.

Have you tried Slimbook? Neat design and full Linux compatibility.
Then buy laptops made with linux in mind like Slimbook or Tuxedo.Slimbook Execute, Slimbook Excalibur, Tuxedo Infinity and Tuxedo Pulse are amazing machines.
