I've remapped caps lock to ctrl with chords and escape when clicked alone. Feel it's the best of both worlds :)

I remapped caps lock to control years ago. Its easier to hit, no one uses caps lock anymore on purpose.

I mapped capslock to Control and use Control-c instead of escape. It's much easier on my pinky.

Many people map capslock to Ctrl or Escape. Or both, depending on whether the key is held or tappped.

Have you remapped Caps lock to Escape yet?

By remapping caps lock to control, one doesn't have to worry about it - all the control key available that one could need :)
