If you're an advertising platform, you can choose what sort of products are advertised on it. All of them do. You can, quite reasonably, decline to advertise things that are unethical. For instance, predatory loans. You are choosing not to profit off the misery of others. This is not nearly as complicated as you make it out to be.

Only content owner should decide what ad will be shown. Offending this rule means breaking deals with advertisers, it's reputation losses.
Banning advertising of something is a bit different than banning the thing itself
Illegalize advertising. Then intensely monitor every conversation everywhere always for advertizational content.
People don't want their products advertised next to porn.
I guess advertizing is malinformation, wonder how this'll affect big adtech giants. ~:)
