A carnivorous diet (meat only, zero carbs) would accomplish the same without the pharmacological drawback. Been on the diet for over a year and have never felt better in my life.
Low protein and low fat, super carb heavy diet, what can go wrong?
Post your entire diet. Then we can talk.
Are you on a particular type of diet, e.g. low-carb ?
Do you mind elaborating on your diet ? Did you followed a particular book or something ?
I've lost 48 pounds in the last 2 years (188 => 140) by simply cutting all carbs and most processed foods out of my diet. No change in habits, no additional exercise. My cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood were good to begin with, but are now EXCELLENT.My typical day I eat 3-4 eggs, half avocado, 1/2lb of red meat/chicken/fish, 2 servings of greens, 1 serving of vegetables, 2-3 servings of cheese.Never felt better. It is frustrating because people never believe me
Mostly plant based (occasional pizza or gelato maybe once a month), I do alternate day fasting, something like 40:8, fast 40 hours eat for 8.. try to avoid night eating, it makes me feel worse the next day.. maybe a bit much for some but I feel so much stronger as a result. Low caffeine.. probably too much fake meat/soy products for my own good..
Im curious, was your carb intake less than 50g per day during those years?
For me it was diet, after I gave up gluten, dairy, sugar, and virtually all carbs, and just stick to 80% meat, 20% vegetables, water and tea, I am full of energy, pain free, and hunger is very different, I only eat 1 meal a day and I’m not hungry (although it is a big meal usually - ~1500 calories)
Didn’t realize too much protein was bad. So basically a mostly fat diet with fasting and exercise.
