Declining Google Search Quality

Yeah Google Search results have gone down in quality... but everyone else is worse still :/

Google search has gotten so bad compared to how it used to be that this might actually be useful.

Has Google gotten worse in the last few years? I instinctively try to Google these kinds of things, but it is getting harder to find the results I want.

Google Search has gotten worse in the past few years in my opinion. It seems biased towards newly published content and content from the top 100 sites or so. Before it felt like you were grepping the internet, but now it feels like you're at an airport newsstand. It will frequently re-write your queries for you if you are searching for uncommon things, and putting it in quotes doesn't always fix it.

For a few months now google search has been basically useless. The only thing that you get nowadays is just SEO spam and mainstream sites. At this point even bing/ddg is better.

Google search has gotten so degraded in the past few years that people want something to beat them.

google was better years ago. Google search quality regressed. id pay for the old google search.

Google search keeps getting less useful every day.

Is this why Google search is really terrible now? The search results are nearly unusable today compared to 1-2 years ago
