Bernie Sanders was the candidate who could have defeated Trump. The DNC establishment and media rigged the primaries for Clinton but failed to gauge the anger that is building - Trump is the outcome.
Bernie Sanders did this but the encumbant democrats were able to stop him. The encumbant rebuplicans werent able to stop trump so he won. The people in these swing states voted for bernie in the primaries (in places where independants were allowed to participate). The DNC are to blame for being out of touch with the general population and forcing an unpopular candidate down our throats. Its no wonder nobody came out to vote for her.
However, in light of the DNC email leaks, the Democrat Party's elite seemed to sandbag Bernie, who many believe (citing polls from before the primary) would have given Trump a run for his money. And honestly, this was the Democrats' election to lose, and they did nothing to win it. So I will blame them. I will blame them for going with a candidate that is firmly "establishment" when the general consensus among the public is that the "establishment" has overstayed th
Big donors in the democratic party overwhelmingly support ultra-progressive policies:https://calgara.github.io/PolS5310_Spring2021/Broockman%20&%...You're talking about national elections, and even then the people will vote for whichever candidate that gets the most votes by the delegates (as Bernie and Trump showed with Trump w
Polls indicated Sanders would have beaten Trump. The DNC damaged itself at least as much as it was damaged by hacking.
They didn’t even have a proper primary with Hillary. She was anointed by the DNC to start and the party itself worked against other candidates any way it could to make sure she “won”. Completely ignoring the fact that she was the opposite of any candidate that might snag a single vote from the republicans, and unlikable among most dem voters themselves. Throw in the fact that they were so convinced of a victory that Trump flipped blue states by virtue of showing up versus ignoring them on the ba
Reminds me of the DNC arguing they had the right to rig the primaries against Sanders.- https://observer.com/2017/08/court-admits-dnc-and-debbie-was...
Both times trump won, this was true. The DNC is just allergic to putting forward candidates that people want to vote for.Kamala really ran a campaign like someone trying to lose.
Most of her troubles were difficult to predict ahead of time, especially the email server and the leaks. Besides those she's actually a pretty good candidate for the party. The DNC pushed against Bernie the same way that the RNC pushed against Trump (and in previous election people like Ron Paul) and the difference was at the end of the day Bernie just didn't have the support. I'm not the biggest fan of the DNC but I'm not seeing how the leadership did anything this election
Indeed. If the DNC had allowed Bernie Sanders to run against Trump, Sanders would very likely have beaten him and Trump would have remained a reality TV star. Instead, they pushed Clinton on Democrats just like they pushed Harris this cycle. The corruption within the DNC is very much to blame for Trump.I refuse to accept the childish assertion that the majority of American voters are card carrying members of a radical political system that was defeated last century. This is just an emotional
