I assume the comment refers to Formula One racing cars
Driverless F1 cars in a race... now that would be an interesting competition
Reinventing the wheel for Formula 1 driving…
F1 racing used to be so much better.
Yes, in racing, not in everyday driving.
Verstappen has more than $6m in street legal high-end cars. He has spent a significant amount of time driving cars with performance quite similar to that Mercedes.Even if this wasn't publicly available information, isn't it quite bizarre to act as if you have some better understanding of the difference between F1 cars and sports cars than one of the best F1 drivers in the world? I would bet you quite significant sums of money that he has spent more time driving cars with performance
I had heard it was happening but nothing more, and after this article I looked around and found race footage to jump around in and get a feel for what it's like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJZS0QhPmhsIt seems like the race has similar energy but definitely a different sound than F1, and the whole battery life/pit dynamics add something interesting.
There are karting videos on youtube and that's actually far more entertaining than modern F1
An F-1 race with no rules other than "go around the track the fastest without wrecking other drivers" might actually be worth watching.
That's like comparing a Ford Fiesta to a Formula One car.
