walterbell Jul 25, 2014 View on HN

Have you looked at http://hypothes.is or the W3C annotation work?

genericone Jun 19, 2020 View on HN

Like dissenter but instead of a comments section you can annotate anywhere?

jl6 Mar 6, 2018 View on HN

Can you say more about the annotation aspect?

cxr Mar 31, 2021 View on HN

Hypothes.is and Web Annotations would be suited for this, but the problem is getting people to write the commentary.

elvyscruz Jan 29, 2020 View on HN

I use https://hypothes.is to annotate pdfs, webpages, etc.

Hypothes.is supports open and public annotations of arbitrary URLs, including tags and comments, but the intent is that all tags and annotations are public. It does have an API, and can work via bookmarklets, or by linking to pages by prepending https://via.hypothes.is/

thank you. can it do annotation easily?

shalabhc Sep 19, 2018 View on HN

This looks great! Is it possible to integrate with hypothes.is (e.g. import all hypothes.is annotations)?

polskibus Apr 10, 2020 View on HN

If you do it, do you lose the ability to annotate?
