These cables are on the sea floor right? I imagine you have to try in other to damage them. At least, damage them as frequently as it's being done recently

wouldn't it basically need to be the same as what they use for intercontinental cables ? tons of shielding and repeaters. maybe there'd be further risk bc if it breaks at the ship it could fall on or weigh down the submersible

Why do you need it to be overland? Cables can go under the sea without much problem.
