At $125/hour and $5000 for servers, $10-20k could be spent up in a couple weeks or so. That seems pretty reasonable, and certainly not as absurd as $327 million, which would amount to about 1200 years of FTE effort.
Even with all of the overhead I doubt it's more than $2M.
Iām guessing that $150k hardware fee is supposed to cover that.
Given their location data and technology stack, I wouldn't be surprised if you've underestimated their spend by an order of magnitude (eg. $100-200k/month, ~$1.2-2.4M/year).
I would say even less because you have to take into account all the costs of hosting, dev machines, laptops, testing, travel etc. $1 million for such huge project is peanuts this days.
I just took 640+129/3Anyway, few hundred dollars added or subtracted doesn't really change the point. This is a fairly cheap operation given what it provides.
What about accountants, paperwork, bank account fees... 1000 usd easy per year
I think we run about $100,000/year of this in production. Ouch.
