This looks pretty slick, congrats. Got to love HN I spent this morning googling for something like this to replace using Word, there's a few options but either Cloud from unknown vendor or desktop with a poor UI.

Wait … no it isn’t. In fact Word sucks at all of that!You would assume that the writer would then tell you which tools do those tasks better. If he says that in this post, I couldn't find it. I did find him saying that "LibreOffice isn’t bad per se, but there are better writing tools out there." I read through his suggested "better" writing tools and the first one he likes better is a writing tool that only works on Macs/iOS and the other is a WordPress pl

Hasn't there been a cultural change in how people write longer texts?Office and other WYSIWYG applications is still very popular, but many today writes in some sort of markup language and then applies different templates.Most important part IMHO is the spell checker, MS Word's has become quite advanced with grammar support etc. If I'm ever going to write anything in Word, it would be for the spell checker. But apart from that I prefer my writing in a text editor or something

This author's comment rings true> One of mine is adjusting the “look” of a word processing document.I find that editing text in a WYSIWYG word processor distracts me from the content and makes me tinker with the formatting. Like other commenters suggested, I switched to using LaTeX and never looked back. Sadly though LaTeX is not for the faint of heart.
