You could monetize this by charging to see if your SO has used the site

Idea: what if you revshare the monthly fee with the contactees? (Obviously after some sort of validation/time-on-site/social proof to weed out scammers.)

Just ask for money. You know, with a checkout button. It's a lot simpler than setting up a whole advertising platform and mining your users for data!

Adding a sharing feature to get past the payment is an interesting thought. Instead of subjecting your users to ads you make them advertise to others on your behalf. Its definitely a good move for them if they are a young company.

neat idea. one way to monetize is to try selling it to CL directly. i don't imagine they'd offer a ton but money is money.

how did you promote this to find paying users?

Options:1. make it a plug in to another platform and charge.2. give it away for a sign up and email so you can get feedback on new features and add a pay tier with more features.3. try selling it to a set of potential users in person and/or skype to get some feedback.
