It's pretty close to double. Sorry, but I just can't justify $400 for a measly 16GB of RAM
Maybe .1% of tasks need this RAM, why are they charging so much?
Because of falling RAM prices, but no price cut for the one with even more RAM?
I bought 64 GB DDR4 RAM for $189 in 2022. The exact same memory is now almost $600 on Amazon. How can this not impact PC sales and the sale of other electronics?
There is when they are paying $200 for 8GB of ram.
The upcharge for decent specs, especially on RAM, is insane. I just checked Dell and upgrading from the base 16GB of RAM to 64GB of RAM on their generic tower costs $450. You can buy 2x32GB DIMMs of the same speed for less than half of that.
Memory? Really? At ~$7 per Gigabyte of RAM I doubt that.
What's the street price for that much ram?
I paid 380€ for 96G DDR5 6400. Decent RAM was around 120€ per 32GB a year ago.
Which RAM brand and configuration are you using? How did it cost?
