Firefox provides, by far, more options for customizing the UI then any other browser. Don’t like the redesign? Then download Sidebery and have tree-style tab navigation, or change userChrome.css to remove tabs completely. Don’t act like Firefox has personally assaulted you just because you don’t like their redesign.

Some would claim that is a feature. Though personally i'm trying hard(ish) to make Firefox' UI closer to early 2000s :-P (thanks to userChrome.css).

Do you know how customisable firefox's UI is in ways that chrome isn't? They limited it a bit in recent years so you can no longer can easily turn the url bar and tab bar into one bar which i'm sad about but all in all most of the buttons i don't use i can remove, those i do i can add, i can change the colours, shapes and location. Chrome is ugly by default and doesn't allow me to fix it.

Firefox's UI has always been the most customizable of any of the major browsers. You will be able to add it back in if it is taken out by default in the future. (Disclosure: I work for Mozilla but not on the UX team.)

What like when chrome updates it for you and changed the ux? At least with firefox you have powerful user configurable scripts you can do whatever you like to how things render in the browser. Treestyle tab that fades away when you mouse off of it? Done.

It's something only Firefox has. And it should absolutely be in its core. Preferably without requiring a custom CSS file to hide the old tab bar.

I'll probably try fixing that horrible location bar improvement with some custom userChrome.css https://www.userchrome.org/megabar-styling-firefox-address-b... I already removed some unused items from context menu and it feels great. Sadly, userChrome.css modifications are considered "legacy" and probably one day will be removed. Why can'

The new and updated Firefox Quantum has UI redundancy issues. I can't believe they don't let users customize the main menu!
