because virtually all .com domains are already taken / squatted and other tld's are useless
Most new companies now are on generic TLDs ( or .nets, .orgs, etc). Don't think .com matters as much anymore
This is a good reason to stick to .com and .net
IMHO itβs better to just use .com .By now .com is so popular that anything different is harder to memorize or even seen as untrustworthy (both by users and sometimes by platforms too).
Why not drop the .com then as well? Most sites are on .com domains after all.

Should probably let the user decide, and you get an extra word thats not just .com.
Why would having .com domain add any prestige?
I'd get a .com domain. Anything else is just asking for confusion.
