That's because the US doesn't have world class healthcare either.

Statistically, European healthcare seems to be doing fine compared to e.g. the US [0][0]: https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/chart-collection/quality...

Because America has some of the best healthcare outcomes in the worldhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_quality_o...

Please pick any semi-advanced economy other than USA when talking about healthcare. USA is well known for its corrupt healthcare system. You are picking the worst of the worst as an example.

The US is about as bad as it gets when it comes to healthcare. Good examples for healthcare run in a way that it does not break the bank and provides a high level of care are Canada and France, other Western European countries to greater or lesser degree depending on how much privatization has been going on.

I think it's fair to say that the US has the very best healthcare available - but not for everyone and overall healthcare outcomes aren't that great when compared with a lot of other countrieshttps://www.commonwealthfund.org/publications/issue-briefs/2...

Sure. The US pays far more than other first-world countries for health care and gets much worse health outcomes out of it. This is very well documented.https://www.commonwealthfund.org/publications/fund-reports

Can you explain the healthcare differences? From what I know it is pretty bad all over the USA compared to say France or Germany.

Maybe, just maybe, sometimes a free market is not the solution ? The US people have the lowest life expectancy and the most money spent amongst rich countries [1]. I am not 100% sure, but it seems to me that all the other rich countries have a more government-controlled healthcare ?[1]: https:
