Yes. But I think it could be way sooner than most of Chinese can be aware of. Consensus among average people in China seems in favor of Xi now. Someone is just picking up the organization's old-fashion tricks and copying them and hoping all of them work as expected since those are all that they know. When the energy begins to loose, everything could turn up-side-down shortly. It has not started yet. Everybody needs a huge stable market now. Perhaps leader can get what he wants in the end.

Xi will survive anything, he's the leader for a life term until he decides to step down, nothing will happen to him. Putin is a fool if he believes that Xi pull put Putin's personal interests in a barbaric part of Europe ahead of Chinese corporate interests. Documents like these are filled with language that means nothing. Chinese government always publishes these things and then does something completely different.

Just guessing but a long term strategy from Xi could be to wait and show that he is different and gain simpathy.

not cool to have a big single point of failure for whatever millions of chinese were with MAO or are today with XI Jimping.

Not anymore. Xi is now the ultimate power in China and will eventually bend the party to his will by any means necessary. I would expect political imprisonments/assassinations to markedly increase moving forward.

Xi Jinping and the PRC are sabotaging their own country to an almost unimaginable extent. Who can trust to invest in China anymore? It was always fraught, but now it is foolish. I don’t think anyone realized how much of an ideologue and authoritarian Xi Jinping is until just the past few years. The next 5 years or so are going to be very interesting.

The notion that the Chinese government became bad/evil only after Xi took power is comical

Unfortunately, Xi's policies are highly NPD (narcissistic), so I don't have high hopes.
