I would love an app that could keep an inventory of the food i have on hand in my aparment (based on what I've ordered in the past and my own inventory revisions), allow me to order more when I run out (from freshdirect.com or whatever the local equivalent is), and provide me with recipes that I can make with what I have on hand. Kind of complicated to orchestrate the whole thing, but would be obscenely valuable.
Even Home Assistant have a shopping list built in by now.
this is a great idea, i had someone the other day ask me to make an app like this. have you thought about expanding it to help people when choosing groceries in the supermarket? i guess that would be a bit of scope creep though. good luck!

Have similar personal app except that it is for grocery list. It starts with the meals desired and once selected, give you the grocery list of what to get.

We now have a feature that lets you specify grocery store so that less exotic ingredients are shown if you live somewhere a bit more obscure (grew up in a small town myself, so I get it!) You can also print your shopping lists if you don't want to use the iOS or Android app. We have thousands of recipes in our database and constantly growing, so let me know if you ever want to come back and try it again for a few days.

It's only really good for groceries, but if you use Paprika's shopping list it will track what you have at home and subtract from it as you complete recipes.
