I've been playing a game called Old World, which is basically Civ with decent UI and AI. The UI is intuitive and uses a nested tooltip system similar to Crusader Kings 3. I yearn for the days of turn-based strategy games.I played HoMM2 and (even moreso) 3 a ton. I loved the tactical combat and that resource management didn't get out of hand. I played a ton of user-made maps. I've given up on Civilization in favor of Europa Universalis IV. What it lacks in epic-scale from the ancient era, it makes up for with lovely detail.
