Considering windows 10 is the only windows that's not in extended support, that's not too unreasonable.

This is for Windows 7 which is like 10 years old - give them a break.

Windows 7? Isn't that so eol that you can't even pay Microsoft to provide security updates anymore?

Windows 10 is going to be supported for years. You're fine.

Windows 7 reached EOL three years ago. Do you expect them to support a dead OS forever?

Well Windows 7 users converted to Windows 10 users as it was released before the end of support for Windows 7. The same thing could reasonably happen if a good Windows 12 gets released before the end of support for Windows 10.Though I have serious doubts that an ordinary version of Windows will ever get released. I mean one without bundled OneDrive or "AI" services and without a dumbed down desktop experience.

Maybe they won't stop support of Windows 10? One can hope.

Windows 10 works just fine. When it reaches EOL I'll move.

I want to highlight that it's not for the current Windows version but for the old Windows 7 which is closing its end of life.

Microsoft is edging closer and closer to dropping support for Windows 10(even a computer I built in 2017 that's still running perfectly fine can't upgrade). But for many users, changing to another OS besides Windows is tantamount to not functioning, so planned obsolescence continues apace.
