As a dane, this is horrible, and a racist colonial thing that needs to be gotten rid of. However the US is on a systematic mission to tear up Greenland in a attempt to aquire it, even as the people there voted to stay with Denmark. Remember the US president actually threaten a small EU and NATO country to give him their land? For this none technews to hit HN seems like a further attempt of that propaganda campaign.

USA threatening to take over Greenland? That’d increase its area by another ~20%.

Here are the cold hard facts:- Greenland and Denmark don't want to sell to the US.- Denmark is a close ally of the US, and is a NATO member. If the US decides that the only way to get Greenland is to take it by force, than that's the end of NATO. And it will usher in a new and unprecedented time where Europe will treat the US as hostiles. Whatever values US hopes to extract from Greenland via their natural resources will absolutely pale in comparison to the new economic world t
