Please don't take my words for it. See their X feed and judge for themselves whether they have a partisan agenda:https://x.com/propublicaI think where an outlet stands in the larger political landscape is useful context and there's nothing distracting or inappropriate about bringing it up, so we can agree to disagree.
The publication seems biased to a certain political persuasion.
I don't think this site can or should be a venue to discuss 100% of matters of public interest. It's one of the few social media that isn't rage-inducingAlso, the author is a hyper-partisan and (left-wing, not right-wing as some here have assumed) and this report has a political agenda.
Interesting news, but the source seems blatantly partisan.
What I find worrisome about this piece:1. it at no point mentions what the fellow is actually alleged to have said. I'm sure I could find out with a few clicks, but what's up with that?2. This is mostly an anxiety-rant about an entire political movement-of-movements that, for the most part, has nothing to do with the specifics of this anecdotal case. How is this front-page HN material? Sample size?? Connection with something other than ~feelings~ to leftist tendencies more gene
I can't speak to the other articles you're talking about, but this piece is coming from a strongly biased source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RealClearPolitics#Rightward_tu...
I know it sounds like he’s “poisoning the well,” but this comment answered the question I had in my head. I thought the source was left-leaning but the article had a conservative voice. It’s important to know who’s writing: The article is not an objective list of facts. They did not reach to the publication for comment. Some nuances might have been ironed out. This is true regardless of the political side talking.
I've found them to have a consistent bias, often claiming things are "partially true" when they conflict with the site's overall left-leaning narrative. I noticed this during the 2016 election, so that may have changed.
It's distinctively possible this particular news source has an agenda in their reporting.
Your comment is a bit inflammatory, but thanks, it's good to know the political biases of a source.
