this is a demo. and i prefer graphics at engine level and let the games win or lose due to their quest/lore/immersion of storyline rather than a poor choice of graphics that looks clunky.
Low graphics doesn't imply low quality.
Ah I misunderstood. Maybe that is just down to game quality & art style?
It is kind of sad that when I used to play games, we didn't have anithing like this! Modern graphics is impressive.
It's surprising how poor the graphics quality is. Assume it is difficult to upgrade it with modern graphics technology
I'm comparing to the graphics of games such as God of War, Outer Worlds, Death Stranding, Cyberpunk 2077. Maybe not the latest or the best graphics but what I'm familiar with. I don't think people complain that those graphics are horrible.
Art direction trumps tech in games for a while, now. This is just well lit, well researched and compression artifacts smooth out the details. Character's eyes are still kinda dead, animations fidgety, screen space reflection artifacts if the "reflected" area isn't in frame, etc, etc. Definitely no different from the average "realistic looking game" 5 years ago and probably, yes, even "high end graphics" 10 years ago. Things are slowing down.
It's not the technology, it's the awful graphics.
Eugh, graphics is the least interesting things about these kind of games! I would take better simulation and pixel grapics rather than fake simulation and "RTX ON".
I can see the lower quality of the rendering, but the graphical content is stunning in my opinion. The art in the game inspires me a lot more than more photorealistic games tend to. I think they did a stellar job given the resource constraints and the scale of the game.
