Ignore the last episode and the show is much saner.
I find it the same, cliché. It had great potential but after the first season I decided I’m not going to watch the next one. Also agree on Severance - fantastic.
Thank you for highlighting "first season" because it did go from "interesting" to "oh well, you've lost me" over time.
I almost stopped watching because the middle episodes (of the first season) were just wheel spinning. But the last 3 episodes surprised me, they really redeemed the season in a big way.
Personally I liked the first episode but all the relationship drama later in the season made me stop watching, it felt contrived.
I liked it initially but the later episodes of the first season go off into la-la land which didn't do it for me. Haven't watched the second season.
I didn't like the first episode much either. But it gets much better.
I really enjoyed this season. Maybe the fact that is 6 episodes long (I spaced them out throughout a couple of weeks) made me spend more time thinking about it, than the first seasons.I don't think that the quality has slipped. Maybe you are being too critical because it has lost its initial shock factor?
Exactly! I had the same reaction. First episode, "Okay, an interesting (if well worn) setup, a lead character that is somewhat interesting, some dynamics." to second episode "Well that really didn't feel particularly entertaining", to the third episode, "not getting better, time to get off this train."
I got halfway through the first season of that, but I didn’t enjoy the the humor, the barely-one-level-deep moralizing, or the lack of believability I felt the plots had. As examples, that episode with the social media thing, or the one-gender planet...Did you (or anyone else now a fan) agree with my feelings initially, and find it got better?
