Not diagnosing them, just saying there's something off and that may be linked to a personality disorder. That's not a controversial statement is it?

"Resembling schizophrenia but less severe"... seems to fit.

This exact thing happened with my partner. Do you know what kinds of personality disorders are prone to this?

Like many behaviours, it can range from "personality trait" to "disorder", with a lot of grey area in between. I'm not hugely in favour of quickly applying the "disorder" label based on my personal experience of being stamped with such things which, in my opinion, are merely "personality traits" which were labelled "disorders" by well-intentioned but overly zealous mental health professionals, but that doesn't mean they don't exist

just to go off of this, I'm not bipolar but I feel we need to also consider more severe mental disorders. For example I have multiple personality disorderHello, I also have multiple personality order aka dissociative identity disorder, where by multiple people live in the same bodyHello I'm a tiny babby

The person is claiming to have obsessive compulsive disorder, which can operate a bit different from regular addiction.

I'd argue that's a disorder, too

I would rather call that a 'disorder'... mental disorder to be specific.
