If you don't want friends of friends seeing stuff, why don't you just set your privacy to friend's only?
Yes, there is an opt out, make your profile private.
you can carefully select who and who can't see your posts. there's a feature for that there already. and not just broad groups like "friends', "friend of friends", you can even select each individuals, i think.
Can't profiles be made private?
I dont want to see 3rd party stuff my friends share. I want to see my friends content.
I assume some users would like to have more privacy. e.g. ask permission before you can see any of my info, message me and add me to your list.
"This does not change who can see the posts - private posts stay private."
what do you mean? is it like facebook's "hide all from X"?
Are there privacy settings available?
If your profile is set to private, then what's the difference?
