Why not just store the data in localStorage?
That's why LocalStorage exists.
This app is using "local storage" (storage that is local to your computer), not browser "window.localStorage".

Is there some reason you chose not to use local browser storage? Seems to me it's both more convenient (and private) for the user, and less work for you to host.
It appears to save to browser-local storage. Mine is still there after having the tab closed for at least 24 hours.

localStorage suffers from issues like size limits and performance (which, probably, leads to higher battery consumption).
That's what local storage is for.
