Video Blocker extension for chromium and firefox keeps me sane on YouTube. It is surprisingly quick to block the main offenders and have actually decent recommendations on the sidebar.
I forgot Youtube has ads; I use uBlock Origin
Youtube is almost unusable without uBlock Origin or you have to call it Adstube.
Been watching YouTube on Firefox (Android and MacOS) with uBlock Origin with zero ads ever. What am I missing?
Pro tip. For YouTube use FireFox and Ublock Origin to block the adds.
There is an add-on called unhook that allows you to disable almost everything on youtube. I turned off shorts, recommendations, the home page even the comments. Now all I see is my subsriptions page. It really stopped me from wasting hours hopping videos. It also workes on firefox mobile, I stopped using the default youtube app.
Not if you use SponsorBlock. Been using it for months, it greatly improves the youtube experience.
Youtube with Brave and ublock origin means no ads on YT
Just install uBlock Origin. It blocks ads everywhere, not just YT.
uBlock Origin will prevent you from ever seeing a YT ad again. Install it.
