Accounting for inflation, the advertised price for one of these would of been roughly $240!

An inflation calculator says it is $100k today. That sounds awfully cheap.

$500 is close to $6.5K inflation adjusted. Although it makes sense to frame it.

Accounting for inflation, 1950 to today would but $78M to $968M so...

Calculated for inflation, the price today would be $600-$700.

I meant to say inflation adjusted. Going from $13 to $40 in 2019 dollars is a substantial shift.

Inflation-adjusted, those prices today would correspond to ~$552.2 and ~$207.6

That explains why everything seemed so cheap. Adjusting for inflation, $2,000 in the early 70's is around $10,000 today.

Yeah, adjusted for current inflation, it's probably closer to $150,000 now.
