DIY Personal Websites

The cluster revolves around advocacy for developers and entrepreneurs to build their own personal or startup websites rather than using no-code platforms like Wix, Squarespace, or quick landing page tools, often criticizing simplistic designs and recommending full control via custom development.

It's not that hard to write a website, why do I need this?

Code my website. Having website is fundamental right, not a product.

You're right. You'd be better off building a website.

That is a long article only to end up with a website that looks like every other website. Could as well be wordpress or a facebook page.

make your own website. there is no choice really, you want full responsibility for what you do

I think the de facto answer for this is to make your own website

Before you offer to build other people's website, you probably should make your own usable firsthttps://imgur.com/6wjmLqa

Many devs build their own because they find it interesting or because they want to tune details just how they want it, but if your goal is just to publish content (which normally is the primary reason to have a website) and an existing tool works for you, it makes no sense to build something DIY just because you can.

i feel its better to build you own, if its your personal website, and you're a developer. this seems like the easy, lazy way out and shows that you don't have time to make a custom site for yourself to show off your talents.i can see this idea being used for other professions, but if you're a dev, then i feel your website is a free pass to show off your true skills, creativity..either way, great job.. keep developing
