why is that exactly? is it offensive, if so I'm unaware and appreciate the feedback.
I'm stuck wondering now why there's such a weird reaction to this. To my knowledge, I didn't say or imply anything offensive or even worth disagreeing strongly about (it was more a conversation starter, since there were no comments yet), so am confused. Is there some misinterpretation that I'm not seeing that's leading to this?
Feel free to explain how it was offensive.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're not from the US, so the c word isn't as rude when you use itIt's still pretty messed up that you exploded so quickly and thoroughly over a completely reasonable criticism.
Personal attacks; thatβs not very common here. However, enlighten me to this perceived misunderstanding?
You're right. Sorry if I offended. The parent comment only triggered the style of the quote in my memory, and in that context I didn't really think about the content. But looking back, it's probably in bad taste, especially among strangers. If we knew each other, I'm sure it would be clear I meant no disrespect. Point taken.
I think it's a cultural issue, but I honestly don't see what's so offensive about this comment (I was expecting something far worse), especially if it's factual assumptions are true. Honest question, can somebody explain the issue here to me, and how one would express these concerns otherwise? I feel as if I just don't get American culture of politeness and niceness to appreciate it.
I'm sorry if my words were offensive for somebody - it's all questions of personal perception.
That's fair enough - my bad. I wouldn't perceive it as an insult, but I can see that it's widely treated as such.
Could you explain to me how that statement is "offensive"?
