A little offtopic, weird they chose to keep the URL at: www.domain.tld, domain.tld even redirects to www

Not putting a dot after the www in your domain name seems weird :)

www.example.com and example.com don't necessarily resolve to the same place.

MastrChefRocks Jun 14, 2020 View on HN

www is dropped from the url, so I don't believe that's the case

It's not just www: now m.foo.com and www.foo.com look identical, for example.

Some browsers hide the www from the URL (even if it's actually there,) so I think customers notice it less.

brosephius Aug 16, 2010 View on HN

just a small side note, doesn't work for me if I put www. in the address

fortran77 Jul 31, 2019 View on HN

hiding www. seems like a bad idea.

andyzweb Apr 20, 2012 View on HN

none of these. I would rather see http:domain.tld or just domain.tld

moritonal Feb 23, 2022 View on HN

The URL has www. at the start by accident.
