True, but Tesla have sold over 1.7 million cars total, with yearly sales rising by about 50% per year
is it fair to compare Tesla sales to Porsche, Jaguar ? aren't these from a different class ?
IDK where you got these numbers, Teslas are selling better right now (q4 2019) than ever before.
Tesla has already sold every car they can manufacture, and their entry price is $40k-ish in the USA. Other manufacturers are limiting how many BEVs they produce, and still managing to sell most of the ones they build even though they are universally objectively worse than any Tesla offering.Tesla Model 3 is the best selling BEV in every market it participates in (not sure about numbers compared to PHEVs). It is selling in comparable quantities to ICE vehicles in the same price range.A sign
That article is dated September 1, 2017. Last years news. This year, Tesla Model 3 is selling more than BMW or Mercedes cars in the US and ten times Chevy Bolt.
What are you talking about? Tesla was not even in the top 5 by model in October 2022.https://alternative-fuels-observatory.ec.europa.eu/general-i...
Success is relative. Tesla sold more Model 3 in one year (2020) than Nissan sold Leafs in a decade (2010–2020).
Let’s be real then. Tesla is actually attempting to ramp energy storage and EVs as fast as possible. No one else is even trying. Nissan has sold 300k Leafs in 7 years. Tesla sells that many EVs in a year at their current run rate. Ford isn’t even going to sell sedans in the US anymore, only low gas mileage trucks. The president of Fiat Chrysler asked people not to buy their EVs, as they lost money on each one. The Volt isn’t a vehicle worth arguing about (Chevrolet has only sold 100k of them, ev
It's sold 500k units which is more than most Tesla's have, it's a different product for a different market. Think again.
Can you provide a specific example? I looked through several different cars and can't tell what you are referring to. It depends on what year you look at and when the refresh happened. There are cars that outsell tesla, (like the very popular and reliable econobox basics from Toyota and Honda). But Tesla is outselling on actual model year sales most other cars with the model 3. If you exclude the top 3 or 4 cars in the us (honda/toyota civic, corolla, accord camry), tesla appears to be
