It's not like your UPS/FedEx/Amazon driver cares either though
UPS always damages my packages or marks then delivered days ahead of the actual dropoff.
Huh you'd think UPS, etc would offer that service.
I agree. There has been the odd fedex package but extremely rare. It's usps, ups and most recently amazon delivery itself.
Yep, at my apartment complex USPS and Fedex will often leave my packages in the completely wrong place (by one of the many entrances, sometimes outside of it). One time while I was exercising I saw the USPS guy spend 20 minutes trying to find the entrance to the post boxes. We have an Amazon Hub and amazon deliveries never have these kinds of problem.
I had the opposite experience. Before Amazon delivery, UPS and FedEx dropped packages in my mailroom (which is, by bad design, publicly visible). Then Amazon started delivering to my door, and UPS and FedEx later started doing so too although not as reliably.
As a counter-anecdote, Canada Post and UPS don't even try to deliver my packages to my apartment door but the Amazon guy gets it right every time.
How is the package actually delivered if there's no driver?
you should check if there are Amazon lockers in your area or lockers from other companies you can receive packages in, so you could pickup the stuff yourself.
are you sure that they are not just doing the last mile? Many packages are delivered to the local sorting office y alternative courier
