you can replace ultra wealthy with powerful. same point stands. the only things that become regulated heavily are things that can affect the people that live at the top, whether its the obscenely rich, or the despots in various countries.
As I understand it, this is to wreck the government oversight on the conduct of the rich and the powerful. They really want to establish a full blown oligarchy. And they managed to convince the poor people that the government is bad for them too.
This is a society that openly supports and roots for billionaires. Most of them are getting what they deserve as subjects of the modern oligarchy.
It's quite sensible to assume that the rich and powerful are aligned and connected with the governing body of a nation.
It's as if somehow the privileged elite are actually in control!
