Teams has worked great for me. It's comparably fast to Slack. Calls and screen sharing work perfectly. I am not sure what is different about my situation versus the other users here. I use the native app on Windows, and my org currently has channels and most integrations disabled (Outlook, OneDrive).
Microsoft Teams is pretty horrible
Could have at least used Microsoft Teams…
We don't use teams feature almost at all because it forces threading. Before wer used mattermost but teams is 100% worse but with video chat...
Microsoft Teams, it's not very good but it's well integrated inside the Microsoft environment.
MS Teams is very buggy/has less features, we're researching other tools atm.
It's Microsoft Teams without 80% of the bugs.
How is this inconsistent with “Teams is awful, and we avoid it as much as possible”?
I have been using teams for 3+ years on mac and windows and I have never had any issues. Perhaps you are a linux user? If so, they recommend the PWA app. I have used zoom and plenty others but nothing comes close to Teams for me.Perhaps, having used Teams' predecessor "skype for business" I am just grateful the torment is over.
Microsoft Teams already is this as long as you don't care about anything basically working.
