I'm not sure how you got the impression that the discussion was about cameras/drones on your property. The OP talked about "Cameras everywhere all the time. No more anonymity in public soon". It's clear that we're talking about other people's cameras in public spaces, not voyeurs trying to look in your bedroom.

This lowers the barrier to take unwanted photos/videos significantly. Yes, surveillance cameras are everywhere but your everyday person does not have access to their feed (and the publicly accessible ones are not that common and usually very far away). It is a surveillance device so you are right to be "overprotective". People who own and use devices with cameras pointed at them all day seem to not realize.

As long as people don't point their cameras at public spaces, i.e. the streets, I don't see a problem with this. I wouldn't personally trust a company to handle my video feed, but that's just me.
