Please open the links in separate browser tab by default. To retain current behavior (compatibility ;-)), provide a configuration option in user profile.

another annoyance is links that open in new tabs. if i want to open a link in a new tab, i can do it myself, websites don't have to decide for me.

If I right click on a link, I see options "Open link in new tab" and "Open link in new window". What's missing there is "Open link in this tab", to circumvent these pesky websites that configure every single link to open in a new tab/window.

You can use the middle mouse button to open in new tabs. Looks like that's not disabled.

I would like to see an option for opening links in new windows (or tabs)!

If only there were a way to open a link in a new window or tab.

There's an option in browsers to choose to open in a new tab if the link doesn't, but no option for the opposite.
