Amazon Inventory Commingling
Discussions center on Amazon's practice of commingling its own inventory with third-party FBA sellers' stock, raising concerns about counterfeit products being shipped even when items are listed as 'sold by Amazon'. Debates include whether sellers can opt out and the implications for buyers seeking authentic goods.

Amazon does not commingle their inventory. You appear to be confusing 3p sellers and "fulfilled by amazon" with "sold by Amazon".
This does not work because amazon commingles inventory. So anyone who ships that item into your warehouse could end up providing the actual good your are sold even if the “Seller” is amazon.
Third party sellers get commingled with Amazon inventory so buying sold by Amazon doesn't fix the problem.
At least in Amazon US, they comingle Amazon inventory with other FBA sellers, so even sold by Amazon isn't a guarantee.
My understanding is that all sellers, including Amazon itself have co-mingled inventory. Therefore you can’t actually guarantee that what you’re getting is from Amazon’s stock, as opposed to some other random seller who gave the FBA warehouse a truck full of fake products.
This is probably the right way to do it since AFAICR Amazon also still commingles products sourced by themselves as well as sourced from FBA sellers.
I believe he means a literal bin. E.g. Amazon takes products from all their sellers and chucks them in the same physical space, so they have no idea who actually sold the product when it's picked. So you could have gotten something from a dodgy 3rd party seller that repackages broken returns, etc, and Amazon doesn't maintain oversight of this.
"Shipped and sold by Amazon" doesn't mean jack squat. They use their warehouses to commingle inventory from many individual suppliers.
AFAIK it's because Amazon mixes their inventory with other fulfilled by amazon vendors.
i think this is a reference to amazon's co-mingling of inventory regardless of where it came from, which results in businesses selling legitimate items having customers that get sent counterfeit goods.
