It's a different trade-off for everyone, but I think you're underestimating the QOL improvement of "no wires".1. No wire randomly snagging on door handles and other objects.2. No forgetting your phone is on the table when getting up and yanking it off the table with the wire.3. You can switch the source with a click, e.g. if you're listening to music on your phone and want to watch something on your computer.4. It doesn't really matter where the source i
I hate wireless headphones because they are a strictly worse product. They cost a lot more, can be lost, and need to be charged. But the only advantage they offer (being wireless) isn't actually useful. So I use wired headphones, because they are flat out better in every way that matters.
This is why I love wired headphones. Even if I lose them, I can replace them quickly for a lot less than $250 and I never have to worry about syncing or batteries or disconnecting or any of the other problems that routinely plague bluetooth devices.
agreed. wired headphones are the way to go.
I recently tried out wired headphones (over a USBC adapter) after years of using true wireless ones and was blown away by the sound quality difference. I forgot how amazing things can sound, when I chose convenience. Apart from limitations of Bluetooth and the confusing landscape of codecs, there are physical limitations - wireless sets have to make room for antennas and batteries and chips that could otherwise be used for pure sound quality instead.
Wireless just isn't worth it for these peripherals - earphones, headsets, keyboards, mice. Even if the battery life is a year, it will still go flat at some annoying time when you want to type/listen/make a call.
I disagree. Having wireless headphones is a lot more convenient and wired headphones for some use cases, such as exercising, where the cord tends to get tangled up with either you or the exercise equipment you're using. More generally, not having to plug things in is obviously more convenient than having to plug them in, all other things being equal. The problem is that the user experience of Bluetooth is absolutely terrible. Every BT device I've used is plagued by frequent disconnec
I dont want to have to keep another device charged when a wired headset works just fine for me.
Not for me as wireless headphones are quickly lost and cost more then wired which were less then 10 bucks. If you lose/lost them not a huge deal you'll can easily afford another pair.
I don't use it. Not everything has to be wireless. I also read somewhere that since BT is essentially radio, it decreases the quality of music when using earbuds or headphones. Got to love a wired connection listening to some FLAC music file.
