Have you tried adrafinil at any point, or any other nootropic drugs?

YMMV but if you're willing to experiment I'd recommend looking into nootropics, specifically Noopept and Pramiracetam helped me.

Fair enough, that doesn't sound like an addiction at all. If you're just taking it to improve concentration, you might have luck with a combination of a Vitamin B complex, Piracetam and L-Tyrosine. All are cheap and have no side effects.

Same as you, the only safe one that has worked for me is modafinil. Piracetam also works, but only the pharmaceutical version by UCB Pharma. But I consider it unsafe, because it it stimulates erythropoiesis.

I didn't notice any improvement on piracetam. The only things that I'm sure change my mental state are caffeine and modafinil. I highly recommend modafinil (brand name Provigil). It helps me concentrate, especially if I didn't get enough sleep the night before.

Lots of posts with nootropics mentioned. Just experiment with them on an every other day, or up to a 2 week on-2 week off cycle. Everyone's enzyme kinetics are different, and homeostasis is a thing...

I've been experimenting with nootropics lately, and I think taurine and L-Theanine can help you greatly, with very low risk of side effects.

Not a nootropic per say but I've noticed a huge difference since focusing on my general health;1) 7-8 hours sleep per night.2) 1 hour of exercise per day (some days cardio, other days weights(focus on compounds; squat, deadlift, bench press, shoulder press, pullups, rows))(for people thinking "I'm too busy to spend an hour of my day exercising". I think the productivity increase of clearing your head doing this exercise more than makes up for the hour it takes.)3)

Nootropics that also reduce anxiety?

Do you mind talking about what's in your nootropic stack?
