It's a lot harder to go to war when countries depend on each other economically.
They're on a multi-decade war with the west. Anything which makes people in other countries fight themselves is a win.
War would lead to much worse than supply chain issues. Mass global death is what war between any powerful nation means now. Which is why it should be unthinkable, and why every nation that is serious about a future for humanity should take every action necessary to keep peace and to prevent crimes of aggression.
Countries cannot profit by war perhaps but that won;t prevent wars. I don't think most wars are entered as the result of a cold economic calculation. They are caused by ancient programs written into our DNA before humans even evolved. So for the time being war is disincentivized by economics but I am confident we will eventually find reasons for a big war anyway
When it can start wars over resources.
We donβt need war, we could just continually rebuild things. The reason for wars are mostly acquiring resources even if power is that only motivation.
Without trade interdependencies wars seem much more attractive to powerhungry leaders of countries, engineers can probably earn a living building killer ai robots.
Without the mutual benefit of trade, what will prevent war?
