Not in NYC, but I wish you the best of luck. Getting ideas like this tried out and tested is important to proving there is a better way to act as responsible stewards. I hope it succeeds!
I think it's an interesting idea. Worth trying in a small country with competent government where a cockup has no effect on me.
Well, this has been already tried in my country, and been survived, but yours may possibly indeed have it in the future.
Sounds like a trial. Would be great for more governments to try new ideas & evaluate the results like any business might.
It'd be fantastic if we could persuade some local governments to try this and work out the bugs. If it went well, it could be adopted by more and more locales.
Maybe we could try one of the many models used successfully in other countries?
