Does this create a new email in everyone's inboxes for every message? Or is it doing something else under the hood.

omellet Mar 24, 2010 View on HN

I do this for new emails, but it's kind of cumbersome for replies.

It'd be nice if we could send emails with a flag to skip the inbox. It'd still appear as a reply to the thread, but not add to the firehose.

You may need to reply to the above message and not this one so that it can reach the intended recipient easier :)

Email clients need a way to remove the "reply-all" button. That way, users are forced to manually enter the emails of people other than the sender, which would make them think about who actually needs to be copied.

I'm surprised email clients/sites don't warn you if you're replying-all to more than x addresses with an "Are you sure?" pop-up

please make this an actual feature in labs. lose the gif and have it send an auto reply to all future responses indicating I am no longer reading the email thread. in the auto-reply have a link leading to how to use bcc

Nobody I know interleves their response when replying. How about an email client that doesn't allow this, like facebook.

Spark does the same thing. Infact, many email clients do this, so you may want to read the fine print before using them.

Does setting Reply-to solve that?
