XP was fine. 2000 was good. Nobody pines for Windows ME. People said those things and they meant it. Windows 8-11 feel pretty bad, overall. 7 was okay.

Windows 7 had the perfect balance. It made significant improvements in many areas that XP was insufficient at and Vista sucked at, while keeping the fundamentals the same. Windows 8 though... I haven't used it myself, but from what I'm hearing, it sounds like it's slated to be a bigger disaster than Vista.

Personally, Win XP was the pinnacle of Windows. Everything has gone downhill since then.

I was pleasantly surprised by Windows 7, and it doesn't make me physically ill to use or support like Vista did. It's like a cleaner, stable XP.But that's the problem, really.
