I miss Windows XP / 7, everything went downhill after.
XP was fine. 2000 was good. Nobody pines for Windows ME. People said those things and they meant it. Windows 8-11 feel pretty bad, overall. 7 was okay.
That's a really good comparison actually - windows after xp has been a shit show.
Windows 7 had the perfect balance. It made significant improvements in many areas that XP was insufficient at and Vista sucked at, while keeping the fundamentals the same. Windows 8 though... I haven't used it myself, but from what I'm hearing, it sounds like it's slated to be a bigger disaster than Vista.

Personally, Win XP was the pinnacle of Windows. Everything has gone downhill since then.
Windows has done much better in this regard, even back in XP iirc.
XP was great. There were so many worse versions of Windows. Think about Vista, and ME.
