Could they make it a space elevator?

Can we build a space elevator with this?

How close are we to a feasible space elevator? Once we have something that can withstand the forces involved, we can just ride up to space for a fraction of the energy and cost, and start our propulsion from orbit instead of the surface.

Would a properly counter-weighted space elevator not have much lower power requirements than an electromagnetic accelerator?

space elevator again? oh...man... try launch loop next time.

Rockets are out, but you could drop a space-elevator line down

Ideally build a space elevator.

Reminded me of the Space Elevator: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_elevator

By using the space elevator, of course!
