HN Anti-China Bias

"Maybe true in China" is not an argument. I find comments like these not helpful and disturbing. The amount of blind dislike for other countries without a proper argument makes me read less and less of hacker news.

It's a Hacker news thing, anything political let's see what China is doing or blame China for something else.

lol downvoted for writing a reasonable explanation. People on Hacker News really love bashing China and not actually talking substance. Maybe this is a sign for our nations’ futures.

There are pro-china posts with same discussions under them but nobody flags these posts. This is not specific to hn, a common thing you can see on other platforms. This is unacceptable, feels like censorship spreading from China to my home and it must be called out.

Please be mindful that a lot of people do not distinguish China the government, and the Chinese people, living in or outside of China mainland.This type of news, are of course worth discussion.But meanwhile, please refrain from politicizing beyond the facts. Think about not letting what a few political figures have started, i.e., politicizing the event without considering the impact, into actual hate crimes targeted at minority groups.Thanks!
